The OSI enforces New Mexico law on insurance matters, including consumer protections, review of insurance forms and rates for accuracy and fairness, and helps New Mexicans address insurance concerns. We oversee and regulate most kinds of insurance in New Mexico and we license the individuals and agencies that sell insurance in the state.

NOTICE:    Effective August 27th, Prometric will no longer administer the New Mexico Insurance Examinations. The last official day of testing with Prometric will be August 26th. If you are currently scheduled beyond August 26th, Prometric will be canceling your appointment and issuing a refund. You also have the option of rescheduling your appointment for an available date prior to August 27th. 

*** NOTE *** PSI has been selected to administer Licensing Examinations for New Mexico effective August 27, 2024. OSI is working closely with PSI to finalize this transition.
